For this project with the Gates Foundation in 2011, a small team from Innovations for Scaling Impact, with me as one of two lead researchers, aided the Foundation’s Global Health measurement, learning, and evaluation (MLE) and Malaria teams to finalize an MLE plan that specifies grant-level sources of data against prioritized scorecard metrics, and the key sources of learning that will facilitate strategic decision-making.
Debate training for young people, ages 18-25, started in 2011, and in 2014 the British Council and other donors such as the Anna Lindh Foundation instigated a strategic review of the program outcomes. As part of this review effort, Randall, as the Lead Researcher (with support from colleagues), interviewed stakeholders during a field visit to Tunisia, surveyed other informants, and provided an evaluation and recommendation for the steering committee. The review work lasted from March - July 2014.
